International Cultural Exchange was founded in 1985 by LIc. Flora Fernandez, as College Rector. In the first exchange 5 students traveled.

International Cultural Exchange, ICI, is a prestigious organization that has since then, promoted and guided the organization of cultural exchanges between students and teachers from Costa Rica to the United States.

This twinning partner program was initiated in January 1985, which has enabled ICI to obtain extensive experience in this field, guaranteeing success and security to institutions, students and parents.

Through the ICI, students and teachers in Costa Rica have enjoyed these international plans, participating for three weeks on a new school experience and reciprocating their idiosyncrasie with communities and host foreign families. For many youth, this type of program is perhaps the only chance in life to fullfil this personal intercultural experience .

ICI has received recognition from the Ministry of Public Education based on its intercultural system and responsibility through the years. Having this type of support, encourages a constant professional improvement in their services.
